Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has started to fight against traders who use bots to earn points under the Alpha Points rewards program. The platform team has decided to completely ban the use of trading bots.
Any use of bots, including but not limited to scripts, automation tools or other methods that do not require manual intervention, will be considered a violation, the crypto exchange said in a notice.
In addition, representatives Binance said it had updated its risk management systems to better detect and prevent bots from being used on the platform. If an account is found to have violated the ban on illegally earning points on the platform, the exchange may revoke the reward and, if necessary, restrict the account.
The Alpha Points program rewards users who interact with projects featured on the platform. Users can earn points by completing certain tasks or achieving certain results. To get more bonuses, traders have started using bots to simulate activity and program them to perform tasks automatically.
Alpha Points has previously been criticized by the crypto community for violating the principle of decentralization.
