Former CEO of a cryptocurrency exchange Binance Changpeng Zhao has regained his status as China’s richest man on Forbes magazine’s list of billionaires.
According to the publication’s official website, Zhao’s fortune has reached $65,7 billion. And although the co-founder Binance closely associated with China, Forbes lists his citizenship as Canadian. In the magazine’s world ranking, he is ranked 24th.
Changpeng Zhao’s net worth fluctuates wildly as his portfolio is heavily weighted towards cryptocurrencies, with his wealth peaking in 2022 but then declining significantly in 2023.
In 2024, the situation changed again, and Changpeng Zhao’s fortune began to recover. The upward trend continued in 2025, almost reaching its previous maximum. All this is in line with the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies in recent times.
It is known that the largest token in Zhao’s portfolio is Binance Coin (BNB), almost 98,48%. Among other digital assets: 1,32% Bitcoin, 0,17% Eurite (EURI) and 0,03% Tether (USDT). These figures are approximate, because the exact amount of his assets is not disclosed. In any case, the former CEO’s fortune Binance depends entirely on the value of BNB.
