Due to a temporary market data synchronization issue on October 13, 2025, some Trust Wallet users saw their token balances go to zero or were completely empty.
The app received outdated market and network data, which distorted balance information in the interface. The Trust Wallet team stated that the incident was a display issue, not an actual loss of funds.

In this situation, it’s worth remembering that Trust Wallet is a non-custodial wallet, meaning assets are stored on the blockchain under user control, not in the app. Therefore, the display issue didn’t pose a risk of funds being moved or deleted by third parties.
Trust Wallet technicians resolved the synchronization issue, pushed a fix to the server, and restored the data pipeline within a few hours. Users didn’t have to perform any actions.
Although the incident was quickly resolved, it still sparked heated discussions on social media. Influencer Laia Heilpern wrote that the incident «gave her a mini-heart attack.» In response, she and other cryptocurrency holders were advised to check their wallet balances using blockchain explorers such as Etherscan and BSCScan.
