Netflix‘s new reality show House of Streams debuts in the UK and Ireland on June 18, offering a unique one-time prize to the winner Bitcoin.
The show will feature eight online streamers with a combined following of four million. The contestants, well-known on Twitch, will go through a series of challenges to win the chance to take home Bitcoin, the cost of which fluctuates in the range of $105,000.
It is not yet clear why the main prize was chosen kriptovalyuta, rather than traditional awards. The show’s creator, Mark Holland, himself believes, said that the prize «couldn’t just be cash or a trip to the Maldives.»
The show’s producers were quick to stress that they «support Bitcoin and no other memecoin,» as the scammers quickly announced the release of tokens with the show’s name.
The streaming giant previously released Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King, a film about the collapse of QuadrigaCX, and recently greenlit The Altruists, a series about the lives of former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried and former Alameda Research executive Caroline Ellison.
